ABOUT ARBYS

Arbys Restaurant Inc. is the second largest sandwich chain in the United States of America. It started its journey on Boardman, Ohio, on 23rd of July, 1964. The founders were Forrest and Leroy Raffel, the Raffel Brothers. They had a vision of a restaurant business that served food other than hamburgers. The name ‘Arbys' came from the initials, ‘Raffel Brothers.' The first serving in the Boardman, Ohio restaurant included a simple meal of roast beef sandwiches, potato chips, and soft drinks. The Arby's hat was designed by Peskin Sign Company. Arby's grew at a rate of 50 stores per year in the 1970s. With growth in business, their menu also grew to include chicken sandwiches, beef and cheddar sandwiches and curly fries. Their signature sauces also made a debut, the sauces being Arby's Sauce and Horsey Sauce.

The family owned business tried to become a public company, but this was not to be. Eventually, they sold their business to Royal Crown Coca-Cola Company. Various push and shoves occurred over the years and finally, in 2011, it was acquired by Roark Capital Group. A variety of the sandwiches offered at Arbys is as follows.
