About scout stuff

Scout stuff is a retail company that deals with scout’s uniforms. Early boys scout uniforms were copies of US Army uniforms of the time. These were shirt and shorts of the same color, with an optional baseball-style cap. They wore knickers with leggings, a button-down choke-collar coat, and the campaign hat. In 1980, a significant change was made when a two-color uniform having a tan shirt with olive green shorts or trousers was introduced. This was designed by Oscar de la Renta; it continued to be the uniform until August 2008 when the "Centennial Scout Uniform" was unveiled.

The company picked the idea of manufacturing such kits and sold them in the United States. The uniform had, for some years been referred to as the "field uniform" but the BSA now uses the terms "official boy scout uniform."
